Koolance as a brand has not enjoyed the market recognition that the EKWBs and the Bitspowers of this hobby do, and part of this has been their involvement in the OEM and industrial solutions market that appears to be going fairly well. This has not stopped them from continually investing in R&D for the consumer market as well, as their excellent CPU-390 water block shows. As part of the huge GPU water block roundup ongoing, today it is their time to get under the scanner. Thanks to Koolance for providing a review sample of their full cover water cooling solution for the NVIDIA GTX 1070/1080 reference PCB.
Let us begin with a look at the specs of the water block courtesy the product page:
|Weight||2.25 lb (1.02 kg)|
|Materials||Nickel-Plated Copper, Nickel-Plated Brass, Stainless Steel, POM Acetal, EPDM|
|Max Pressure @ 25°C||1.5 kgf/cm^2 (21.3 psi)|
|Max Temperature||80 °C (176 °F)|
Koolance also provided a sample of their GPU backplate for this very water block, so here is the respective information for it from the product page:
|Weight||0.30 lb (0.14 kg)|
The specs list is light on detail, but there is information to be found elsewhere on the page to tell us the backplate is made of aluminum, is a full cover backplate and comes with the requisite thermal pads and mounting screws. Let us take a detailed look at the items beginning on the next page.
