Conclusion

The PrimoChill EximoSX 360 currently costs $69.95 from their web shop in the USA, as of the date of this article. There is also an 8% discount code “dontgo” that will bring it down to $65, which is a good price considering that there are a whopping 19 color options to choose from all at the same price point. They tell me that each radiator is custom powder coated when an order is placed for a special color, with the satin black being a popular, in-stock item. Each radiator is thus handcrafted individually and that does help them offer so many colors without a price compromise while also keeping the finish excellent if this sample is anything to go by. So do be aware that once the order is placed, it will take another 2-3 days for the powder coating to be done.

That really is the whole selling point here and I applaud them for doing something different than the usual outsourcing to an Asian OEM for everything. But underneath the powder coat lies what is otherwise an average performing radiator throughout with a tried and trusted core design that does not wow in any aspect otherwise. The QC niggles of the angled fan hole cutout does affect the otherwise good build quality and, despite no points deducted for it, I would still have wanted to see screw shields or offset coolant tubes right away vs in the future. It is a decent performer, has average liquid flow restriction and does have higher than average case compatibility owing to the 30 mm thickness and 120 mm width so if you are restricted by radiator thickness, then this is at the moment the only real option to color coordinate your watercooling build. It also helps that PrimoChill offers the same color options for their fittings, reservoir mounts, and upcoming CPU block with similar tubing color options as well so they are aiming to satisfy OCD at the same time. From this point of view, and noting that $65 is a good price in general, I give the EximoSX:

As always, my scoring is based off a start of 100% with deductions for absolute and relative pricing, performance and noise, build quality and packaging and how well a product meets the intended application.
