The Swiftech H220-X CPU cooler was one of the very first items I reviewed, all the way back in January of 2015 here and earlier on other places. It was Swiftech’s answer to Asetek forcing a closure to sales of their H220/H320 AIOs owing to the pump over block IP that Asetek owns, and it was well received in general with most places running out of stock and customers happy in general. There were a few things that people did complain about- the product aesthetics, as personal as it is, was generally a sore point and it wasn’t the easiest to fill and expand owing to the small box loop which also had some of the “window” covers crack leading to slow leaks and RMAs. Almost to an year from that review, Swiftech then announced the X2 series of AIOs building upon the predecessors and aiming to improve wherever possible. Radiator size aside, the X2 comes also in a higher end “Prestige” version with Blacknoise Noiseblocker eLoop fans and chrome plated brass compression fittings instead of the Swiftech Helix fans and standard black plastic barbs, thus aiming to satisfy a range of customers looking for their first watercooling experience. Thanks to Swiftech, we get to now see how the new X2 series of coolers perform.

Swiftech sent a H320 X2 Prestige, and so we begin with a look at the specs from the product page:

Quick Installation Guide

Swiftech has always done a commendable job providing detailed information about their products, and the H320 X2 Prestige is no different. Just from this list we can see several changes from the previous iteration- LEDs added on the reservoir/radiator as well as the CPU block with all being addressable RGB LEDs as well. The provided PWM splitter also caters to these LEDs in addition to the fans as well. The CPU block is an Apogee XL2, as opposed to the Apogee XL used before. The reservoir is more cylindrical in nature, at least as seen from the front, and has a larger coolant/air volume that will aid in filling and bleeding loops too. Swiftech has also provided a technical drawing here with dimensions listed so you can check for case and product compatibility accordingly. The H320 X2 Prestige also has a 3-year warranty which is competitive and dictated by use life of the coolant used than anything else. Overall, a good first impression so let’s take a look at it beginning on the next page.
