Susurro is Spanish for “whisper” or “rustling noise”. Alphacool has chosen a nice name here for a fan but has thus also set up an expectation. The Coolmove 2 fans we saw earlier were fairly impressive- especially for the money- and now Alphacool has this to cover the more premium market of fans. Thanks to Pascal and Hank for sending samples for testing so we can see how these fare in reality.

Let’s take a look at the specs courtesy the product page:

This is a 120 x 120 x 25mm fan with a caveat which we will get to soon, ditto with the frame color being black. It is black out of the box but as we will see on the next page that does not tell the entire story. The fan follows the Alphacool black and blue colors very well either way, so those looking for consistent color schemes with other black/blue products will find this interesting already. This is a 3 pin, voltage controlled fan here with a rated max speed of 1700 RPM (with samples having potential variation from 1500-1950 RPM as rated, which is a pretty big range in my opinion). It is nice to see the starting voltage and input power rating here too! Rounding up the specs list we see an MTBF value of 50, 000 hours (at 25 ºC) but it would have been nice to see the bearing type listed out here also. No mention of warranty explicitly but as with all Alphacool products, there is a 1 year limited manufacturers warranty on these fans. Now let’s take a look at the fan on the next page.
