I sometimes visit forums from other countries to see if there’s anything exciting product wise that I have missed here. One of these trips to the HardwareLuxx community (the big German one) resulted in this review actually happening. I saw a build using 3 of these fans on a 360mm radiator and was intrigued by the visual design of the fans- especially when running. A few emails later, two fans arrived along with a couple of things that will be used in a roundup later. Alphacool has their Coolmove 2 fans in two different max fan speeds, and today we take a look at the 1800 RPM version. Thanks to Pascal from Aquatuning and Hank from Performance PCs for making this happen.

Let’s take a look at the specs courtesy the product page:

These are of course the translated version, Alphacool being a German company and what not. I would have liked to see the English versions alongside as well, along with a mention on the warranty period (1 year is the warranty here). This is a standard 25mm thick fan with a 120x120mm fan frame and the fan holes to go with it, so you can pair up multiple of these on a radiator without issues. The operating voltage is also a range given this is a 3 pin, voltage controlled fan and so 12 V by itself does not tell the entire story. A HDB bearing is good to see here, and will hopefully last much longer than the 1 year of warranty. Let’s now take a look at the fan on the next page.
