INTRODUCTION

Continuing the Silverstone fan review set, the 3rd of 4 fans sent was the SST-FW122. As opposed to the SST-FQ122 which was reviewed here, the FW122 doesn’t promise to be ultra quiet but rather to be a good compromise between optimal performance and low noise. Before we get to testing out the claims, let’s take a look at the specs courtesy the product page:

Straight away we see that this fan has a higher fan RPM range compared to the FQ122, and with this comes higher advertised airflow, static pressure and noise levels. On the next  page, we will take a look at the fan and any included accessories.
